Sharing Christ Around a Table in Centauro

Sharing Christ Around a Table in Centauro

35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

Matthew 25:35-36

There is a tangible love that can be seen and felt by those in need when we gather around a table and break bread. On January 14, we provided supplies for our mission partner, Estrella Belen, to cook for Centauro and share the love of Christ in this way. Centauro is a home for men and women whose families have neglected them for various reasons. These people live on the streets because of mental disorders and addictions. At Centauro, there are about 100 residents!
Together with First Baptist Church of Woodway and Estrella Belen, we came alongside them and fed these people in need on February 10. It took all of us coming together to minister in this dark area not far from Del Rio. We provided the supplies for the meal and were also able to purchase new drinking cups for the residents. Estrella Belen cooked a great dinner for all those in need, and the mission team came and helped us serve. We give our special thanks to our mission partners, and to those who supported us and made this possible to equip and impact generations for Christ!
